Hi, welcome to my site.

I started learning to play guitar many years ago but never became an accomplished guitarist. Having an engineering background I quickly learned how to look after, adjust, and repair my guitars. So, in 2015 I setup my business to do just that for other musicians.

Over the years I have worked on a wide variety of instruments and have built several solid bodied guitars and basses to my own design.

My business, based just outside St Austell, Cornwall, is aimed at helping guitar and bass players get the most from their instruments by setting them up to suit the individuals requirements and playing style.

The most common problem I come across, even on new instruments, is uneven fret heights, and worn frets on well used instruments. By setting the neck straight and leveling the frets first, it is possible to get a nice low action without having all that fret buzz. This, in turn, reduces intonation problems as the strings are not being deflected so far.

I also replace hardware and electrical components but do not do any work that requires the repair of the surface finish as I have no spray shop.

Please see the next page for my price guide, but note, I will need to see the instrument before giving  an accurate quote.
